Barcode is still a vibe! I haven't been here in years but it is a gateway spot to grab a drink and light bite at happy hour. The location is great if you work nearby and the staff was kind. In the warmer months, I could totally see myself catching up with a group of friends on the patio. This time I ordered a Moscow Mule and it was perfect for me but I can imagine that others would say it didn't have enough alcohol. I saw that they have a $60 brunch so I would totally come back with friends since that's a rather affordable price

Great spot for brunch and to take in the game! If you're looking for a fun spot with a solid, brunch buffet and full menu on weekends, this is your spot! Not to mention, there are tons of TVs around to catch the game over some good drinks with friends. Nothing more to ask for on a lazy Sunday. I came here to celebrate a friends birthday. We had a blast just hanging out over some good eats and drinks. The food surprisingly for a buffet, is really good with an honorable mention on the chicken and waffles and also the shrimp and grits dish. Not to mention there are bottomless, mimosas and sangria offered as part of the buffet. The price is a bit steep at $60 bucks, but I would say it was worth it, considering you take advantage of eating enough food, and scarfing down enough drinks. Lol food vibe. There's a DJ playing good beats, and you can bet there is not a dull moment in the place. it turns into a party situation quick. Overall, Barcode is a cool and fun spot. The restaurant vibe is open with the patio seating outside leading into the bar/restaurant makes the place seem spacious. Most of the seating is a combo of booths and high top seating. Just be aware that the buffet and brunch starts around 12 PM-5 PM this place gets seriously crowded. So it's best to get there early! Not to mention, the parking can be a little tough around the downtown area as we all know. I can definitely get with this place, not on the regular, but every now and then to change things up on the weekend. I've been here during the weekday, and things are much quieter. No buffet, but a full menu is offered and it has a great bar vibe. So pick your poison with the type of setting you prefer. I'm a bit more in the middle to chill sports bar type on my end. Either way, this place does not disappoint. Definitely worth a visit!

A trendy cocktail bar with indoor/outdoor seating, not far from the Metro rail. When we arrived the were changing over for evening time operations and there was a lot of activity. Despite this the staff was attentive inside the bar. We got drinks at sat outside on the ample furniture in the beautiful DC September afternoon. We relaxed as people walked by and it was one of our nicest evenings. As I said, they were all busy preparing for the evening so we were just alone out there. Very nice.

I went to an event where I was able to network with other Black Mental Health Professionals. It's an ordinary lounge, nothing special about it. The drinks and food were good. I'm not a club person, but think it was a good spot for this networking event.

This was my first time at barcode and I do see myself returning for a second! The music was great, the space was well thought out and the aesthetics weren't boring. If you're into sports they have a great viewing screen that you can watch from any seat. I was there to celebrate a 35th birthday party. The service was okay, my drinks came out on time (I do recommend the strawberry henny) I didn't like that when they served my food, they placed it down in front of someone else and left it there. However they were good with quickly clearing the table of rubbish. The food was decent, I heard the cheeseburger sliders were really good. I had the grilled wings (they lacked all the flavor in the world) however I felt like they weren't an unhealthy snack.... They are served with ranch dressing and ketchup. The fries were good,, didn't find anything wrong with them ... made up for the tasteless wings.

This was my first experience here at Barcode. I did not know but there is a $10 cover charge just to enter the building to have brunch which was $48 and the $10 did not go toward your meal. With brunch you get 2 mimosas or 2 sangrias. I chose the sangria option which tasted like juice. There is an option to buy wine by the glass. No cocktails were available on the menu but there was a bar. The food was good, I had the shrimp and grits. They also had a waffle and pasta station which came with brunch. I was able to choose ingredients to put in my pasta (chicken and spinach was my choice) and the waffle had powdered sugar and some chocolate or caramel syrup as toppings options. The place was nice, clean, and the ambiance was good. Music is pretty loud so don't count on having conversation without screaming. All in all brunch was a good vibe.

Came here for brunch which is $40 and includes an entree and two drinks. Either two sangrias and mimosas. The inside is very comfortable with mostly booth seating and a few high tables. Brunch features a DJ and starts at 12pm. I had the shrimp and grits which were well seasoned and tasty and it was a decent size plate. My friend got the fish and waffles which she enjoyed as well. There are no desserts on the menu although we did ask the owner/ manager (?) and he said he would look and see what they had but it got busy and he forgot about us for a bit . Overall an enjoyable experience. Expect it to be kind of loud around 1:30/2 when the crowd starts coming in.
